Pt enhanced capacitive performance of Cr<sub>2</sub>N electrode toward flexible asymmetric supercapacitor

In the present work, Pt-Cr2N composite and carbon thin film electrodes were directly deposited on a flexible 304 stainless steel current collector by one-step sputtering technique. The inclusion of platinum (Pt) in chromium nitride (Cr2N) provides significant enhancement electrochemical properties Cr2N. prepared composite-based electrode demonstrates high specific capacitance cyclic life compared to pristine Cr2N electrode. designed Pt-Cr2N//carbon asymmetric supercapacitor (FASC) has been examined for practical applications. FASC (at 80° bend state) shows excellent retention 82.6% 30 000 charging/discharging cycles with 106 Fg−1 energy 48 Wh kg−1. remarkable capacitive performance this makes it potential candidate storage applications, long span, electronic devices.
